Hi Delia. Your boyfriend is going through a life changing experience in rehab. In fact most of them really discourage the concerns of a relationship that isn’t serious (unless its been long term)for at least a year after getting sober. This is going to be a very trying time for him and he will quite literally be a different person. His program is encouraging him to make his sobriety his priority.
