I am a podiatrist practicing in the greater Sacramento area with North Valley Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery. I specialize in the surgical treatment of foot and ankle problems. I focus on revisional/reconstructive surgery, trauma and diabetic conditions which require extensive treatment. I have a keen interest in external fixation techniques which allow for faster return to weightbearing and leave the patient without permanent hardware.

On the business end, I also do medical management consulting on a part time basis. The focus of the business end of my practice is small to medium sized physician groups and helping them streamline operations while maximizing take home pay. The emphasis being a sharp focus on having only necessary, profit generating services to help shore up eroding take home pay.

I’ve been in private practice since 2002. The first couple of years in the Los Angeles area while I finished my MBA. I joined North Valley Orthopaedic in 2004, where I remain. I see and treat a great deal of complex surgical problems of the foot and ankle, from high energy trauma, to arthritis and painful outcomes of previous surgery. I have a special interest in external fixation and it’s application in reconstruction and faster healing times. Orthofix is the company I use, to which I have no relation.

From the business side, I enjoy helping small to medium sized groups fine tune their operations. Due to the fact that revenues to all physicians decrease year after year (this is because of medicare rates and the contracts that are tied to them don’t change, yet operating costs always go up)and they need to find ways to increase take home pay. At North Valley, we’ve been able to increase our collective take home pay by 25% over the past 2.5 years and 2007 is off to our best start ever!
