DEPRESSION AND DRUG ADDICTION COUNSELING
I feel that the experiences in my life with addiction and recovery has more than qualified me. My life has changed a lot, now that I have recovered from this ‘escape” or “quick vacation” as I use to call it. I can never repay those people who have helped me cross the bridge to where I am now, but I could always pass on what I know and what I learned from this experience and how I have survived the everyday pain and urge to use just to forget every detailed painful situations in my life. I am not proud of what I did but through this advisor service, I get to share to others who are still struggling, thinking and feeling alone going through life that there’s still one person willing to listen and understands what they are going through – me.
It truly is my own unique life experiences that sets me apart from the rest but that doesn’t mean I am in any way different than those who haven’t experienced what I went through in life – the struggles and pain, the feeling of helplessness and the fear of going through life alone and miserable. Drug addiction is not something to be proud of or to brag about, but helping others by sharing my struggles through counseling and giving them views and advices about depression and some drug related issues is my way of paying back those people who gave their time and understanding to me when I was trying to pull through every pain and frustrations in my life.
